Article Submitted by Tony Petros of WebDesignExpress.com

Usability is creating your website to make things easier for people who visit your website so they can locate what they need. Large companies spend thousands of dollars on researching and testing usability but for your normal everyday company, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars.

You will need to correctly title your web page. The webpage title will look like <title></title> and will appear on the web browser’s header. You want to be sure that your title is easy to read, clear and simple. You should not use too many tags in your title because this will make the title longer.

It is important to use colors wisely when designing a webpage. It is recommended that you do not use too many colors in designing your website. Choose colors that customer’s eyes will like but still match your content. The colors of the website should tell the customer about the product or service you are trying to sell. Research various colors since each color has its own meaning.

It is crucial to your business that you have a fast website. You certainly don’t want your customers to have to wait for your site to load. Customers will easily become impatient and just go on to another site. And that will cost your business a potential customer. Your site should have less than a two second response time. Customers will not care about your search engine ranking if they have to wait too long for your site to load.
